As a humanities graduate who moved to Budapest from a major countryside city, it took me some time to truly discover and experience the city. But eventually, I found my rhythm within its unique pulse—a vibration that can sometimes feel exhausting and overwhelming, yet remains undeniably captivating. Budapest is, after all, a place where in a single day you can journey from the multicultural bustle of the 8th district, through the city center echoing the golden 'Belle Époque,' all the way up to the Buda hills, stopping along the way to observe and discover something entirely new. Of course, I know that many people don't have the time for this in their daily routines. That is why it brings me genuine joy to help transform urban spaces—which often seem empty or uninspiring—into places filled with stories and shared experiences. After all, it is through these small details that we connect with the place we live in. They allow us, amidst the daily stress and rush, to notice the beautiful, the bizarre, or even the downright grotesque street scenes. And the energy we save or reclaim along the way? We can direct that toward something else—perhaps even toward one another.
